Attendance Schedules & Yearly Calendar
The Mountain School offers nine different attendance options. Our Morning Program takes place from 9 am until 1 pm. The Full Day Program runs from 9 am to 5:30 pm. For the 2013-14 school year, the Full Day Program will be extended to 6 pm.
All children attend the Morning Program on a Thursday-Friday, Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, or Monday through Friday schedule. Any child who will be 5 years old by January 1 of the school year must attend a five-morning schedule, with afternoons optional. Please see our Tuition Schedule for more details on the Morning and Full Day Programs, as well as additional options for the Afternoon Program. Early morning care is offerered from 8-8:45 am.
We follow a September-to-June school year calendar, and children may enroll at any time during the year as space is available. School opens the day after Labor Day, and ends in mid-June. We close in observance of the following holidays:
- Columbus Day - Monday holiday in October
- Veterans' Day - November 11
- Thanksgiving - Thursday & Friday in November
- Winter Break - two weeks in December/January
- Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday - Monday holiday in January
- Presidents' Day Week - mid-February; vacation program offered Tuesday-Friday
- Spring Break - two weeks in March or April; vacation programs offered both full weeks
- Memorial Day - Monday holiday in May
